Seven Sisters Road Wins Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development at LABC London Region Award 2018

Seven Sisters Road wins LABC London Region Awards 2018 for Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development and has been named as a finalist in the LABC National Awards 2018. In addition it has been named as finalist in the London Construction Awards 2018 for Sustainable Construction Award & London Build Excellence Award.

Resilient Edge were appointed as a Client Agent helping to complete the projects construction and sign-off in the final year of development following Director Jon Pyle’s departure from the project architect, multi-award winning Crawford Partnership. Whilst at Crawford Partnership, Jon was the lead designer and contract administrator for the project from late planning stage onwards.

The development provides nearly 350 bedspaces for homeless people in Hackney and has been recognised for it’s impressive delivery of comfort and quality combined with long-life materials and low-maintenance systems within a restricted budget. A large solar panel array, rainwater recycling system and variety of natural habitats forming part of the external landscaping also make this development surprisingly eco-friendly.
